The U.S. Small Business Administration and AARP are again teaming up to host National Encore Entrepreneur Mentor Month, targeting entrepreneurs over the age of 50.  Building on last year's successful strategic alliance, the two organizations provided nationwide mentoring and training to over 119,000 individuals.

Currently there are over 76 million people over the age of 50 in the country, and many of them are interested in and poised to be entrepreneurs.  New research found that one in four Americans between 44 and 70 years old are interested in starting a business or nonprofit venture in the next five to 10 years.
